About us
CyncHealth is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a public/private governance model that includes health care providers, payers, and the State of Nebraska. CyncHealth is a statewide Health Information Exchange designed to share clinical and administrative data among providers in Nebraska and neighboring states. CyncHealth’s purpose is to achieve health care transformation through community betterment collaboration while protecting the security and privacy of medical information. CyncHealth’s mission is to bring trust and value to health information technology by creating solutions for moving health data forward. Through data sharing participation, hospitals, clinics and surgery and specialty care clinics have access to the full functionality of NEHII, known as Health Information Exchange (HIE)/query or patient look-up. Once sharing and connected to our secure network, health care providers will have access to comprehensive patient health history.

CyncHealth had the honor of attending and speaking at this year's Civitas Networks for Health Conference #Civitas2024. Industry leaders nationwide gathered to explore health data #interoperability through the theme of "Bridging Data and Doing." Our team took part in key sessions that showcased our role in advancing health data utilities and community-based care initiatives: 🔗 Building Interconnected Communities: Dr. Jaime Bland DNP, RN-BC along with other panelists, discussed how #HIEs are uniquely positioned to facilitate care coordination and social determinants of health initiatives, creating a wholistic service delivery. 📘 Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Referral Management and Data Exchange Playbook: Dr. Jaime Bland and Dr. Larra Petersen-Lukenda introduced our collaboration with Leavitt Partners, presenting a playbook to address common barriers in #SDOH data collection and exchange. 🔍 Health Data Utilities (HDU): Tackling Healthcare Challenges through nonprofit, state-based solutions: Dr. Jaime Bland highlighted how state-based #HDUs are overcoming care fragmentation by streamlining data for improved care coordination by unifying clinical and non-clinical data to bridge the data-action gap. We're excited to see the lasting effects of "bridging data and doing" on communities! 🌐💡

Just wrapped up an engaging session at the 2024 Civitas Networks for Health Annual Conference featuring CSRI leaders Erica Galvez (Manifest MedEx), Melissa (Rutala) Kotrys (Contexture), Jaime Bland DNP, RN-BC (CyncHealth), and Megan Priolo, DrPH, MHS (CRISP - Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients)! 🌟 Key takeaways from the discussion about health data utilities tackling healthcare challenges through #nonprofit #statebased solutions: - Erica Galvez (Manifest MedEx) emphasized the essential role of health data utilities in connecting the entire ecosystem: “Health data utilities play a critical role in connecting everyone. It's a role that for-profits are not going to pursue." - Melissa Kotrys (Contexture) said of health data utilities: “We're all mission-oriented, and we're here to meet the needs of our communities." - Erica Galvez also shared: “Being a utility does not preclude you from innovating,” observing that both connectivity and innovation are core aspects of health data utilities. The session examined how health data utilities function as nonprofit, state-based entities that address local challenges. Leaders of the nation's largest HIEs highlighted the role of health data utilities in fostering collaboration, promoting #healthequity, and improving #carecoordination within communities. #Civitas2024 #HealthDataUtility #PublicHealth #Innovation #HealthData

Overviews of significant federal policies that affect the collection and exchange of SDOH data, as well as an exploration of consent and identity management workflows. 2. Overviews of three key workflows and activities within SDOH data collection and exchange: SDOH screenings, referrals to social services, and planning for financial sustainability of SDOH workflows and processes.
