It’s Tank Trouble Tuesday! A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Gulf Coast region requested a TankCam inspection of a 10,000 gallon steel tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held diesel. The customer also requested a TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning. The TankCam inspection revealed a considerable buildup of sludge and debris in the tank. After the TankClean Remote Video UST Cleaning, the TankCam shows that the sludge and debris were removed. The tank was later placed back into service. The tank held super unleaded. The TankCam inspection revealed a bulge in the tank. Debris, sludge, cracking and a probable water ingress were also observed inside the tank. Tanknology recommended that the tank  remain out of service, pending further evaluation.
