A committee of South Dallas neighbors is hoping to see the old Billy Dade building converted into a future career institute. The Dallas Independent School District Trustee Board will discuss the potential demolition of the old school building to replace it with the Career Institute East facility. “This would be something state of the art,” District 9 Trustee Edward Turner says of a new career institute. “We need a modern-day trade school in the heart of South Dallas.” Read the full story ➡ https://bit.ly/3YBEIgD The board meeting will start at 6pm at the Turney W. Civic Atlas, a data scraping tool, takes all of the city's zoning and building permit records and displays them in a user-friendly manner to help residents track proposed developments in their community. 📍 It was designed with residents of South and West Dallas in mind.
