  • We specialise in DRFA Project Management. What is the DRFA? The Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) are a federal funding scheme designed to assist local governments in restoring their transport infrastructure assets in the aftermath of severe natural disasters. DCPM aids councils in navigating the DRFA scheme, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from damage to their infrastructure assets caused by natural disasters. We oversee councils' evidence capture, submission preparation, restoration works, and financial reimbursement claims processes as required by the scheme. The DRFA process can prove overly complex, time-sensitive, and demanding for many councils to handle internally, particularly in the aftermath of extreme weather events. • We donate to assist impacted communities. Each year DCPM donates to regional disaster resilience charities, volunteer organisations and not-for-profits that support effected community areas. John was pleased to recently present this donation to FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal). FRRR is a not-for-profit organisation that connects common purposes and funding from government, business and philanthropy with the genuine local needs of rural people and places. #regionalaustralia #disasterresilient #resilientcommunity

  • In the news: Disaster resilience projects funded Flood levies will be upgraded and coastlines restored under the latest round of the Federal Government's Disaster Ready Fund designed to protect communities before natural disasters hit. More than half of all local government areas in Australia have experienced a natural disaster in the last two years. Many of them more than once. Minister for Emergency Management Jenny McAllister is today announcing which communities will get funding under round two of the Disaster Ready Fund. Minister McAllister says the Commonwealth, State, Territory and local governments will pay for the 164 projects, including upgrading warning systems, rain gauges, cultural, burning and mental health training. The projects are combined almost $387 million. And while some communities will soon benefit from these projects, there were more than 500 applications for funding. • "The importance of the time between councils incurring expenditure for damage repairs and getting reimbursed cannot be overstated. DCPM consistently prepares claims on behalf of the councils that contract them to be accurate and comply to the rigorous guidelines set by the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). This allows assessors to have the shortest possible turnaround to approve reimbursement to councils. Well done John, et al - it is great assessing your crew’s work."
