This meeting marked an exciting milestone in our research journey! 🌊🧬💡 The visit began with an inspiring tour of TUM’s facilities, where the dynamic collaboration between companies was on full display. The open-space concept fosters a thriving innovation ecosystem, promoting the free exchange of ideas and driving creative partnerships. 🤝✨ The day’s highlight was the engaging discussions with Jana Legtenborg and Dr. Aline Laucke. Digital transformation of SMEs along the Danube Region
About us
Danube Digital transformation Network of Active SMEs training and knowledge transfer centers (Danube DNA) project is an Interreg Danube Region Programme project co-funded by the European Union. It corresponds to the 1st priority of the Danube Region Programme: A smarter Danube Region. To the specific objective 1.2: Developing skills for smart specialization, industrial transition and entrepreneurship. The Danube DNA project will be implemented by a consortium constituted of 12 project partners and 14 associate partners, from 12 Danube countries. The Lead partner of the project is the Faculty of Technical Sciences University of Novi Sad. The main challenge addressed with the project is the synchronized transnational digital transformation of SMEs towards industry and logistics 4.0, across the Danube Region. To address the challenge, the main objective of the project is to create the Danube DNA Network – Digital Transformation network of Active SMEs training and knowledge transfer centers. The Danube DNA network will be the nucleus of integrative smart specialization, skills development, cross-sectorial collaborations, SMEs transformation, and transition towards industry and logistics 4.0, through the transfer of knowledge, inter‐regional capacity building, jointly developed solutions, and implementation of innovative and sustainable pilot actions. Project budget: 2.159.530,00 EUR Interreg funding: 1.727.624,00 EUR Project duration: January 2024 – June 2026

🌍✨ DNA Project Update: Strengthening Cross-Border Knowledge Transfer! 🔧 In Activity 2.1 of the Danube DNA project, we focused on creating a robust network for knowledge exchange among Danube DNA molecules (Digital Transformation Centers), empowering them to be “one-stop shops” for the digitalization of SMEs. 💻 Through a series of interactive online capacity-building training sessions, project partners shared expertise on cutting-edge topics like reverse engineering, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, energy efficiency, big data analytics, digital marketing, IoT, smart actuators, simulation modeling, digital twins, and energy monitoring. 📚 These sessions provided invaluable insights into the latest technologies and best practices while deepening our understanding of the SME landscape in each country within the Danube region. 🤝 And that’s not all! Our mutual partner visits and hands-on knowledge-sharing experiences have only just begun. Stay tuned for our next post to learn more about these exciting developments! 🔧🔍💡
