🏅 Oil & Gas Olympic Games 🏅 of Vaca Muerta, powered by Dash Energy ⚡🚀 We present the podium for the ‘BY BLOCKS’ category for oil wells hooked in the last 12 months.
The podium in oil is taken by wells from Vista, YPF SA, and Shell 📊
It’s important to clarify that to define the podium for each ‘discipline,’ the 50th percentile of each block is calculated.
🔑 Key insights on the Production podium:
• Highest Qo Peak: The podium is entirely composed of Vista blocks. First place goes to the Bajada del Palo Oeste block with a median of 1,573 bpd, leading by 150 bpd over the second place, which is held by the Aguada Federal block.
• Np @180d: A slightly different situation emerges here, as the podium is shared by YPF and Vista blocks. Loma Campana takes first place, reaching a median of 182 kbbl of cumulative oil at 180 days, even though it didn’t make it to the Qo Peak podium. Completing the podium are Vista’s Bajada del Palo Oeste in second place and YPF’s Aguada del Chañar in third place. Note: Some wells with a high Qo Peak may not have reached 180 days of production yet, but this is unlikely to change the overall trend.
**Cumulative production for the year: For this variable, a caveat was made to include all wells connected from September 2022 to August 2023, to ensure a larger sample with at least 365 days of production.
The first place is taken by Sierras Blancas block from Shell, leading with a difference of 100 kbbl over the second and third places, which are held by Aguada del Chañar and Coiron Amargo Sur Oeste.
🤔 Why don’t Shell blocks appear in the statistics for Qo Peak and Np @180d despite achieving impressive cumulative figures?
In the case of Sierras Blancas, the wells connected in the last 12 months haven’t yet reached their Qo Peak, as they have less than 100 days of production.
For Coiron Amargo Sur Oeste, the statistics for wells from the past 12 months appear weaker compared to those drilled during the 2022-2023 campaign.
🔍 Observations on Completion data:
Data on fracture stages, lateral length, injected water, and proppant is based on publicly available information submitted by each company to the National Secretariat of Energy (SEN). Notably, there have been no reported data from SHELL or PAE for these variables over the last 12 months.
Loma Campana stands out with the longest wells, boasting a median of 3,200 meters, while Bajada del Palo Este from Vista holds the top spot for the highest median of fracture stages per well, with 53 Fracs.
The podiums for Qo Peak/Fracs and Np180/Fracs are occupied by wells from Vista, Phoenix, and YPF, with Mata Mora Norte and Bajada del Palo Oeste blocks standing out. They achieved peak productivity of 40 bpd/frac and cumulative 180d per frac of 5,000 and 4,500 bbl, respectively.
Stay tuned for the next awards! 🎉
