Yesterday, DC NOMA hosted our second annual member BBQ, and it was an amazing turnout and experience! With over 50 attendees, this BBQ provided a great opportunity to network with all our demographics: students, leaders, and allies. A special thank you to Baltimore NOMA president, Melanie Ray, AIA, LEED Green Assoc., NOMA, NCARB, for coming to support us. We are one big NOMA family! We want to extend our gratitude to all those in attendance. We're thrilled for those who were able to make connections and forge new friendships. A special thanks to Gensler for donating the use of the cornhole game. We expect this event to continue growing, so if anyone is interested in sponsorship for future events, please reach out to our treasurer, Sarah Bannerman, LEED Green Associate. For more information, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/dHG3skCj We can't wait to see you all at the next event! 🌟 #DCNOMA #NOMA #Networking #Community #DiversityInArchitecture #ArchitectureEvents #Gensler #CornholeFun #MelanieRay #SponsorshipOpportunities

Notable clients include RAP, Inc., MiCasa, DC Public Schools, Community Action Group, and DC Housing and Community Development. ✨ Celebrating Genell Anderson ✨ Genell Anderson’s journey is truly inspiring. Born in Charleston, SC, she moved to Chattanooga, TN, in 1983 after graduating from Tulane University's architectural program. With 37 years of experience as an architect, she is registered in DC, Maryland, Virginia, and South Carolina, and is also an ICC Certified Building and Plumbing Inspector.
