The federal clearance process can be a daunting experience, especially for newcomers to the government or cleared industry, but there are resources available if you know where to look. #DCSA co-hosted a webinar with the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (#WHIAANHPI) Chief of Staff, Jamie L., titled "Navigating the Security Clearance Process." DCSA participants included Barbara Holston, Chief of Staff, Counterintelligence; Michelle Lake, Special Agent, Background Investigations; Carrie Villegas, Special Agent, Background Investigations; and Tremell Munford, Division Chief, Adjudication & Vetting Services (AVS). The event was moderated by DCSA Sr. Recruiter Cheryl Jackson-Darden of the Human Capital Management Office. The purpose of webinar is to increase the public's awareness and understanding of the federal clearance process, to promote fairness within the clearance process, and encourage underrepresented people to apply for federal employment.
