What a pleasure it was to talk to the Davis Phinney Foundation about Freezing of Gait, visual/auditory cues, #NexStride, and what we are doing for people with Parkinson's at De Oro Devices. Capital Area Parkinson's Society, SpeechVive and Sarah King, PT, DPT's 5S method was also discussed. There are tools that can help, from conventional trekking poles to specialized walking aids like Urban Poling’s Activator device and NexStride. The key is to become comfortable with using these mobility aids early.
