From channeling Tina Turner's iconic moves to being honored as a powerhouse leader - our DeKalb Entertainment Commission Director Shelbia Jackson is showing DeKalb how it's done! Not only did she slay as first runner-up in DeKalb's Dancing With the Stars, but was also celebrated as one of Atlanta Business League's Women of Influence at their 40th Annual Super Tuesday Conference. Talk about range! Whether she's breaking it down on the dance floor or breaking barriers in business, Shelbia continues to make #DeKalb proud. Congratulations on these well-deserved honors! This is a wonderful Domestic Violence Awareness fundraiser hosted by Donna Coleman-Stribling, Solicitor General. Her team is doing incredible work in DeKalb to end the cycle of domestic violence. As a law enforcement agency dedicated to creating a better, safer DeKalb County through education and prevention, they seek to engage as many residents as possible to raise awareness during October. Proceeds from Ticket Sales and Corporate Sponsorship benefit the Women’s Resource Center and the International Women’s House to help Victims of Domestic Violence. Purchase tickets via her website or use the link below. https://lnkd.in/gVaqWMnp https://lnkd.in/ge9WbVK4 This event will take place during Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center located at 3181 Rainbow Drive, Decatur, GA 30034.
