This award recognizes Phil Sr.'s unwavering commitment to embodying Cherokee values, such as respect, dignity, and graciousness, while tirelessly advocating for the advancement of the Cherokee Nation and its citizens. His dedication and work ethic, honed during his 10 years as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, have made him an invaluable asset to our team. DRG President, Philip Busey, has been named to the newly created Price Executive Academy Advisory Board at the University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business. This board brings together leaders and experts from various industries to guide the strategic direction of the University of Oklahoma - Price Executive Academy, ensuring its programs remain relevant and impactful in today's dynamic business landscape.   We are proud to see Philip contributing his industry expertise to the development of future leaders through this important initiative!

It’s been an incredible first half of the year for DRG! Let’s take a look at the highlights: January: We kicked off the year with a major win, securing a Lockheed Martin task order for Logistics, Maintenance, and RESET (LMR) support services. This new contract allows us to provide vital LMR support, marking a major expansion into military aviation and aircraft maintenance. February: Our corporate offices received a makeover to support our growing workforce. Corporate growth is projected to continue throughout the year with the addition of new contracts. March: The Rotary Aircrew Training System (RATS) program officially launched, marking a successful transition. We’re thrilled to support rotary aircrew training at Kirtland Air Force Base and Joint Base Andrews, bringing new team members onboard and enhancing our support for the American warfighter. Also in March, DRG was awarded an Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) contract for Tactical Systems Operator (TSO) aircrew training support. The effort is for training support for TSOs on MC-12W/BE-300 Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) variant aircraft at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base, Oklahoma City. April: A historic moment for DRG! We signed a memorandum of execution with The Boeing Company, paving the way for a new IDIQ contract for global support services. This collaboration celebrates over 20 years of partnership and sets the stage for future successes. May: Our President, Philip Busey Jr., welcomed Jeff Carter from United Dynamics at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, highlighting our ongoing commitment to supporting the university’s aerospace and defense programs. June: We were honored to host U.S. Senator James Lankford at our Oklahoma City headquarters. His visit focused on workforce development, government acquisition, and education initiatives, reaffirming our commitment to these crucial areas. July: We announced our newest achievement—a Surface Contractor Operation and Maintenance Services contract with the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division! This 5-year contract expands our reach to 16 Surface Warfare training locations globally, enhancing our support for the Navy and Marine Corps. In addition to this astounding achievement, DRG was also awarded a task order for Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Squadron 2 (VMUT-2) MQ-9 Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) Instructors. DRG remains committed to supporting higher education initiatives in Oklahoma. Last week, we had the privilege of hosting the latest cohort of the University of Oklahoma Aerospace and Defense MBA students at our corporate office, where they engaged with aerospace and defense executives to explore the latest trends in defense contracting. To cap off the week, DRG President, Philip Busey Jr. led the group of 23 graduate students on a tour of the Stafford Air & Space Museum and the Southwestern Oklahoma State University campus in Weatherford. There, they heard from university leadership about how SWOSU is cultivating the skilled workforce fueling Oklahoma's booming aerospace and defense sector. This marks the 7th OU Aerospace and Defense cohort we’ve hosted in Weatherford. OU’s Director of Executive Business Programs in Aerospace and Defense, Shad Satterthwaite, and DRG President Philip Busey Jr are pictured at the Stafford Air & Space Museum.
