The Health Center Program, launched by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS of the federal government in the 1960s, began with just two clinics. Fast forward to today, and this visionary initiative has grown into a cornerstone of our nation's healthcare system– with over 1400+ health centers operating over 15,000 sites, dedicated to serving communities all across the country. For nearly six decades, this program has exemplified what can be achieved through collaboration between communities and federal support—all driven by a shared commitment to health equity, which, as of 2023, has collectively served over 31.5 million patients. Here at Delaware Valley Community Health, Inc., we are honored to be part of this remarkable legacy! For over 50+ years, our work throughout the Philadelphia region has been deeply rooted in the mission of the Health Center Program—to provide accessible, high-quality care to those who need it most. We take pride in being a key player in this ongoing story as well, striving to continually expand our reach and impact to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances, have access to the care they deserve. This isn’t just healthcare; it’s a legacy of trust and collaboration that we are proud to carry forward. As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to fostering a healthcare system that is inclusive, equitable, and resilient—upholding the Health Center Program’s enduring commitment to uplifting and supporting every member of our community! https://lnkd.in/daSBjVFS #Healthcare #CommunityHealth #DVCH #HealthCenters #HealthEquity
