October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (#NDEAM), and it comes at a time when more and more companies are reassessing their work-from-home (WFH) policies. Unfortunately, debates around WFH increasingly fail to recognize the impact on employees with disabilities. In this powerful post, Glenda Sims, Chief Information Accessibility Officer at Deque, asks us all to make sure accessibility remains part of the conversation, and to remember that the future of work must be accessible, equitable, and inclusive for everyone. https://lnkd.in/g3mFhhup #a11y

International travel is hectic; there’s no getting around it. But if you have a disability, there’s likely to be a whole new array of challenges you’ll have to contend with. Your experience can differ significantly depending on the level of accessibility provided by everyone from Uber drivers, gate attendants, and the flight crew to the people who designed the airports, airplanes, and in-flight entertainment systems. Deque’s Vice President and Principal Strategy Consultant, Patrick Sturdivant CPACC, recently flew to Europe and back. As someone with a disability who is also an experienced accessibility professional, he has some powerful takeaways to share about his experience. https://lnkd.in/gX9hVuAk
