There’s been some confusion about the effects of recent Executive Orders related to “DEI.” Here’s what you need to know in terms of digital accessibility: ➡️ Existing U.S. laws for digital accessibility, like the ADA, remain unchanged. These EOs do not alter those regulations. ➡️ The business case for digital accessibility is stronger than ever. Think: booming consumer demand, rising level of private litigation, and an increasingly connected world with a complex regulatory picture. Want more clarity? Level Access breaks it down perfectly in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/gFZvZc5e. #DigitalAccessibility #ADA #A11y #Compliance #LevelAccess #Tech4Good

This week (March 17-23) is #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek—a global initiative that challenges stereotypes about neurological differences and champions neuro-inclusion. These are values our Senior Creative Director, Dana Randall, embodies every day. In a recent interview (linked in the first comment below), Dana shared her experience of living with undiagnosed neurodiversity for many years. Her passion for accessible design became deeply personal when she ultimately developed a vestibular disorder following a Ramsay Hunt Syndrome diagnosis. In the interview, Dana discusses the importance of approaching work and creativity in a more flexible, neuro-inclusive way. At Level Access, we’re proud to celebrate neurodiversity and recognize inclusion champions like Dana—this week and every week. 💙 Neurodiversity Celebration Week | #A11y #NeurodiversityWeek

“By embracing accessibility as a fundamental value, public colleges and universities can set a powerful example of social responsibility in education.” The U.S. Department of Justice’s (#DOJ) recent rule under #TitleII of the Americans with Disabilities Act (#ADA) gives public #HigherEd institutions a clear deadline to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards—or risk lawsuits, reputational damage, and financial penalties. But compliance is about more than avoiding risk—it’s about building an inclusive digital future for all students. Our Chief Accessibility Officer, Jonathan Avila, CPWA, shares expert perspective with eCampus News on how institutions can overcome the unique challenges they face when implementing accessibility measures and take strategic steps toward compliance. → For more insights, read the full piece here: https://hubs.la/Q03bNtDS0 #DigitalAccessibility #A11y

So proud of my team! I had the opportunity to attend a session presented by Emily Zimmermann, Jordan Wilson, and C. Wesley Hulsizer this morning and was blown away. Not only was their topic incredible (Aspirational Assistive Technology) but they also perfectly demonstrated how to deliver an accessible presentation. The HDMI cable wasn’t working properly and therefore their slides weren’t displayed on the screen. I’ve seen presenters panic when something like this happens, but our team remained calm and rolled with it, because they were already prepared to describe each slide. When the new HDMI cable arrived, they just kept going. It was seamless. Incredibly impressed. #CSUNATC2025 #Level Access
