One of the greatest joys our founder Annice Fisher, Ed.L.D. experienced this year has been volunteer teaching her Exercising Conscious Leadership class at Cook County Government Department of Corrections. Loving her new co-teacher and DCC Coach affiliate Nedaa Alwawi ! Her additions have taken the class to a new level! We started in the Women’s Division 3x with Shanta Harrington and now we’re in men’s Division 11. We get to watch their brilliance in real time as they exercise courageous vulnerability to use their life as a learning container for healing leadership to get unstuck, explore new concepts of being, and envision and enact positive change. We’re grateful for the Harvard Club of Chicago creating the opportunity for her to pilot this class. We’re grateful for the CCDOC educational programs team that continue to let us expand the class across the facility. Everyone deserves the right to learn about leadership and how to utilize it in ways to honor our collective humanity.
