Last week, DFC’s health team attended the 2nd Global Event on Harnessing Private Sector Engagement for Sustainable Vaccine & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in Nairobi. We are proud to stand alongside our partners, including Africa CDC, who are committed to facilitating technology partnerships and boosting investments to advance local manufacturing capabilities. These investments are a critical part of a holistic USG effort to accelerate production of health commodities on the continent, expand the African market, and build a more resilient supply chain.

Last week, DFC COO Agnes Dasewicz participated in the IDB Invest Sustainability Week in Manaus, Brazil. In a panel with members from several leading development finance organizations, COO Dasewicz discussed the importance of collaboration and innovative, inclusive financing solutions to help drive climate impact in Latin America and the Caribbean. DFC is proud to be working with IDB Invest to expand cooperation and financing for critical sectors in these regions through the America’s Partnership Platform (APEP).
