The care of the patient is our reason for existence.

About us

The nation's largest not-for-profit dialysis provider operating under the mission, "The care of the patient is our reason for existence." The primary responsibility of DCI is to perceive, initiate, and provide comprehensive patient care. We serve society by providing care for patients with End-Stage Renal Disease. Our goal is complete patient rehabilitation. We recognize the patient as an individual resulting from his or her genetics, life experience, habits, beliefs, and emotions and as a member of his or her family and the community. The patient deserves the highest standard of care possible regardless of race, status, or creed. The application of comprehensive care is on a personal level. We become acquainted with our patient as a person and seek to understand his or her problems and needs -- physical, emotional, spiritual, and social. DCI began serving people with kidney failure in 1971. DCI proudly gives back to society through research and education because we believe people with kidney disease should be able to live the best life possible. We provide options- home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and in-center hemodialysis- as well as encouragement for transplantation.

We love highlighting our wonderful patients, especially when they’re marking milestones with us. Meet Rosa, a Belton, Mo., patient, who recently celebrated 19 years on hemodialysis. DCI Belton employees honored Rosa with a bouquet of flowers, a card and hanging a celebratory banner above her dialysis chair. Rosa emphasizes the importance of a well-rounded approach to her health. She takes care of herself physically, mentally and spiritually with a positive attitude, daily exercise and following her dialysis nutrition plan. What an amazing outlook, Rosa! We commend your unwavering spirit and positivity, and we thank you for trusting DCI with your dialysis care these past 19 years. Shoutout to DCI Belton for going above and beyond for our patients and for the excellent care you provide to Rosa and all of your patients!
