#OneChurchTogether Bishop Checchio recently met with Bishop Sebastio Mascarenhas, SFX of the Diocese of Baroda (India). . At their meeting, Bishop Sebastio presented Bishop Checchio with several gifts. Traditionally, a respected person is honored in Gujarat, India, by wrapping a shawl around him. The print on the shawl wrapped around Bishop Checchio is inspired by the paintings of the Warli Tribe. . In the small painting, all figures are in two triangles, depicting village scenes. The round circles are typical group dances with the tarpa, a musical instrument that is used to this day. . The Gujarati Catholic Samaj of the USA will hold a Holy Mass celebration in Gujarati (Gujarati is an Indo-Aryan language native to the Indian state of Gujarat and spoken predominantly by the Gujarati people) today, Sunday, July 28, 2028, at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield. . The celebration will be led by Bishop Sebastião Mascarenhas, and assisted by Deacon Ketan Joseph Christian. . : Office of the Bishop
