Please join us in welcoming & congratulating Reverend Pawel Michalowski, until recently a member of the Salesians of Don Bosco religious community. Bishop Checchio recently approved Fr. Pawel’s “incardination” from the Salesians into the Presbyterate of the Diocese of Metuchen. Since his arrival into our diocese he has served at Immaculate Conception, Somerville, and currently is at Blessed Sacrament, Martinsville.

Bishop Checchio recently made a visit to Rev. Charles F. Kelly, a retired priest of our diocese, who recently turned 94 years old.  Father Charlie was ordained to the Priesthood in 1964 and served as Pastor of Christ the King Parish in Manville and St. Ambrose Parish in Old Bridge before retiring from active ministry in 2005.   Please pray for all of our priests, those in active ministry and especially those retired.   Congratulations, Father Charlie, as you celebrate your birthday and 60 years of ordination!  Ad Multos Annos!  (Latin for “To many more years!”)   (Fr. Kelly is pictured with Bishop Checchio.  On the left is Fr. Roy Quesea, Bishop’s Secretary and Vice-Chancellor) 📸: Office of the Bishop

The evening commenced with inspirational words from Most Reverend James Checchio, Bishop of Metuchen, and was filled with a garden cocktail reception, student performances and heartfelt testimonials.
