The ASPYIR Transition Planning Tool is now live! This innovative self-assessment resource empowers transition-aged youth (14-21) to take control of their future planning. Disability Rights NJ celebrates 30 years this month as the state’s designated Protection and Advocacy system for people with disabilities. The role as New Jersey’s P&A is deeply rooted in the DD Act, informing our actions to ensure people with disabilities are free from abuse and discrimination, have equal opportunities, and are empowered to live their best lives. This video was created to honor the dedicated and passionate staff - some of whom have been with us from the start - and the three decades spanning our history, systemic advancements in the human, civil, and legal rights of New Jerseyans with disabilities, and our evolution into the organization we are today. We have come a long way in thirty years, but there is still so much more to do. As the disability community expands and the supports and services needed for individuals to live free from abuse, neglect, discrimination, and as they wish, are lacking, there is work for us to do. Disability Rights New Jersey must continue to grow and expand our expertise to address the needs, so that New Jerseyans with disabilities can realize the productive, fulfilling, and meaningful lives they deserve. Help us grow our impact and reach those that need our services. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e6bm5EQB #DRNJ30Years #30YearsofDRNJ #disability #DisabilityRights #DisabilityRightsAwareness #nonprofit #LegalAdvocacy #Donate #Support #Awareness #inclusion #equity #justice #rights #celebrate #anniversary #30thAnniversary #PandA #TaxDeduction #AnnualFund #Give #EndOfYearGiving #NJ #NewJersey
