Display Group is proud to share our involvement in the 2024 Dream Convention, hosted by Total Life Changes, LLC from July 18-20 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. The event, centered on immersive training, community engagement, and recognition, aimed to empower attendees to make their dreams a reality. Our team at Display Group designed and executed the main awards night stage set -- and managed the audio, video, lighting, and special effects to create an unforgettable experience, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Additionally, we collaborated on the pre-function areas, fabricating decor and creating engaging experiences. Our teams also handled the setup and operation of the client’s training rooms throughout the two-day event. After the star-studded musical performances wrapped outdoors at Michigan Central Station on June 6th, the event ended for most. But inside, the night was just beginning with a special Endowment event, offering guests additional festivities, custom displays to enjoy, as well as a personal performance by Diana Ross. At Display Group, we were incredibly proud to have been chosen by Adrienne Nutter -- owner and founder of Fandangle Event Design -- to partner with them in helping to produce this once-in-a-lifetime event. On June 11th, the Detroit Institute of Arts hosted a remarkable event, “Kresge at 100: Celebrating The Kresge Foundation’s Century of Impact and Future of Opportunity.” This celebration highlighted the foundation’s long-standing history of philanthropic achievements, with a special focus on its significant contributions to Detroit. Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, was the main honored guest, joining Kresge President and CEO Rip Rapson for an inspiring fireside chat in front of an audience of 500 attendees. Display Group is proud to have played a key role in this unforgettable event. Our team provided custom design, signage, stage sets, lighting, and photo ops for the program, creating a beautiful and memorable environment, as well as the post-program reception, celebrating the evening in The Great Hall and Rivera Court. It was a privilege to contribute to an event that celebrates a century of impactful work and looks forward to a future of continued opportunity and growth. On June 6th, the grand reopening of Michigan Central Station captured nationwide attention with "Live from Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central." Following this spectacular kickoff, the excitement continued with the Michigan Central “OPEN House” from June 7th through June 16th. For ten days, visitors were invited to explore the newly restored station and its offerings, while guests enjoyed a vibrant array of music and local entertainment on the front lawn of Newlab at Michigan Central. Display Group's team handled the daily scheduling and management of a diverse array of food trucks, and provided the necessary furniture rentals, setting up comfortable and stylish seating arrangements that enhanced the overall guest experience. Our expertise in audio/visual services was on full display, and our team took on the executive production and stage management, ensuring seamless programming and smooth transitions throughout the entire celebration. A special highlight was a musical performance by our very own Rachel Bost, adding a personal touch to the event. To everyone who attended and those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, thank you for making the Michigan Central Station grand opening an unforgettable experience.
