This hybrid, part-time position is based out of Providence, Rhode Island, and is dedicated to mentoring youth leaders in challenging oppression. Key Responsibilities: Train youth facilitators to lead discussions in uncovering bias and dismantling racism Facilitate high-quality and engaging presentations, training, workshops, and more Assess program efficacy to ensure organization and community needs are met Qualifications: Passion for working within the diversity, inclusion, and equity space, and in supporting and uplifting youth voices. Professional history of facilitating engaging workshops with youth ages 14-25. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build trusting relationships with diverse attendees, participants, and partnerships Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred. That's a wrap on the New England Library Association 2024 Annual Conference! Thank you so much to the New England Library Association for inviting us, and to our incredible youth alums Ashely and Myrah for representing Diversity Talks so well. It was an honor to be able to connect with so many incredible library staff members, administrators, and supporters, and to start conversations around implicit bias and diversity in media with folks from all across New England!
