It's Follow-Up Friday and Hearing Assistance Dog 🐾 Annie continues to bring so much joy and companionship to her new family! She’s our very first Hearing Dog from the Shelter-to-Service program with Operation Kindness in Texas, and she has been thriving with her client, Anna Mary, in Virginia. Annie adjusted quickly to her new home and formed an incredible bond with Anna Mary, showing right away that she knew she was there to help. Whether it's responding to the kitchen timer, a knock at the door, or Anna Mary’s name being called, Annie is right on task. Anna Mary, who lives with two of her adult children, enjoys her lovely neighborhood’s walking paths, so Annie gets plenty of exercise! With 5 children and 3 grandchildren, Annie has a big, loving family around her. Follow-Up Friday: 3-Year Anniversary with HHD Fern and Leah! It's been three amazing years since Leah and Home Hearing Assistance Dog 🐾 Fern, teamed up in OR—and what a journey they've had! Leah is an adventure lover, and wherever she goes, Fern is right by her side. Not only is Fern staying sharp by responding to door knocks, oven timers, and alarm clocks, but she's about to learn a new skill—name call! Leah’s workplace is pet-friendly, so Fern also gets to tag along to the office, where she’s become the beloved mascot. Leah shares how grateful she is for Fern, who helps her feel secure and confident, knowing she won’t miss any important sounds. We're so proud of this incredible team!
