Today we are pleased to share our San Patricio FEMA dome project summary. The County of San Patricio in Sinton, Texas, chose a dome for its FEMA storm shelter, built to protect locals during major weather events in southeast Texas near the Gulf of Mexico. Completed in 2023, the storm shelter was built at the existing county fairgrounds and finished in colors to match adjacent buildings like the events center and exhibition hall. “The campus is just beautiful,” said Dome Technology sales manager Daren Wheeler. “This shelter has been built for the protection of residents in the community during a high-wind event.” Federal Emergency Management Agency grant dollars funded the project. The Dome Technology team is headed to Cambodia! That’s right—this year’s leadership conference will be held in the southeast Asian tropics, and just like previous years, those in attendance will get a healthy dose of leadership training complemented with a plenty of adventure. The mission of the leadership conference is to: 1) Elevate company leaders and key employees beyond their current capabilities. 2) Build team unity, increase transparent and honest communication, and strengthen trust. 3) Build relationships through exclusive unique experiences. 4) Attract and retain key people. The executive and production teams set sail in January 2025, and the sales-team conference is in February. #leadership

Bulk-storage domes boast key benefits that can potentially boost a company’s bottom line. Today, more grain companies are bypassing traditional storage models, like silos, for a chance to experience the dome difference. Contact our team for more details!

Last year our team completed another FEMA storm shelter, this time for the County of San Patricio in Sinton, Texas, USA. These steel-reinforced concrete structures are engineered to meet FEMA 361, ICC-500, and National Storm Shelter Association standards and provide almost absolute protection in extreme weather events; based on current knowledge of tornadoes and hurricanes, occupants of a safe room built in accordance with these guidelines will very likely be protected from injury or death. Project summary coming soon!
