Jen Fritz and I are collaborating to support Doorways in providing 30 residents with new bedding and towels as they finalize their shelter renovation. This initiative aims to warmly welcome the clients to their new home, ensuring they have the essentials for a fresh start. Doorways, a community-based nonprofit, offers services, shelter, and supportive housing for domestic violence survivors and their families. Last year, they sheltered 135 survivors, with over half being children. It was an amazing evening at the Doorways 'Open Hearts, Open Doors' event last night! Not only was it heartwarming to see this amazing group blow through their fundraising goal, but it was an opportunity for me to see my firm's first company-sponsored event be such a success. I am proud to have my name and Synergy Pathfinders, LLC attached to an organization with a mission to fighting for domestic and sexual violence survivors in Arlington but also to educate and rebuild lives as we seek to instill a culture of "prevention" in the community. I also want to thank my dear friend, Tony Cortés, CCM, PMP, LEED AP . He not only attended the event as my date and supported this great event through his own donation, but he has been a source of support to me over the years with my own childhood trauma.
