Our Contemporary Shingle design is a modern adaptation of the 19th century shingle-style. The home’s eye-catching exterior features bold gestures of monolithic granite chimneys, sweeping overhangs, gable-end peaks that complement one another perfectly, and many playful elements, including the prominent three-floor stair tower at the façade. We’re happy to share that VHA is the recipient of a 2024 Alice Washburn Excellence Award from AIA Connecticut for our Seaside Shingle design! Situated along the Greenwich harbor, the home’s interior is all modern conveniences and technologies, while the exterior matches the classic styling of its neighboring 19th and early 20th century waterfront estates. The home features a classic double-gable front elevation with paired Tuscan columns, naturally weathered yellow cedar, and an informal rear elevation with a show-stopping entertaining and pool space.
