  • Meet Paige Kemp, our newest Resident Advocate at our Dubois County location in Jasper, Indiana! Paige brings a strong background in correctional services and a deep passion for supporting women on their recovery journeys. Her unique perspective and dedication to this work make her a valuable addition to our team. Paige is a recent graduate of Southridge High School and will be studying Psychology and Criminology at Ball State University this fall. She was drawn to Dove House by our mission to create a safe and supportive space for women undergoing recovery: "What interested me the most about working for Dove House was helping women through the process after addiction to live a better lifestyle for themselves.” As a resident advocate, Paige looks forward to supporting the residents with their day-to-day needs, helping them create a renewed sense of self, and staying on track with their recovery journey. She values the culture of women supporting women at Dove House and is eager to contribute to this empowering atmosphere. #Welcome #DoveHouse #RecoverySupport #WomenSupportingWomen #ResidentAdvocate

  • We are thrilled to announce that audiochuck, known for its #1 true crime podcast, Crime Junkie, has made a generous $100,000 donation to Dove Recovery House for Women! This incredible support will help our Indianapolis and Jasper-based nonprofit continue its long-term treatment and recovery program for women struggling with substance use disorder. In addition to this donation, audiochuck will be the presenting sponsor for the 2024 Dove House Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Auction on September 18th at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel, Indiana. This event is a wonderful opportunity to highlight our work and raise crucial funds to keep our program free. Each night, Dove House serves 40 women in Indianapolis and 15 women in Jasper. To meet the overwhelming demand and address the lack of affordable treatment options, we're excited to break ground later this year on an expansion project that will add 15 beds to our Indianapolis location. • A study by the The National Institutes of Health found motherhood significantly impacts women seeking recovery help. Through a series of interviews, the NIH found that many women listed their children and motherhood responsibilities as key motivators for seeking recovery support. However, motherhood was also seen as a barrier to treatment, as some women feared losing custody of their child if they disclosed their substance use. This study highlights the complexities our residents live with daily. Holistic care that factors in every part of a woman’s life is more important than ever. 📖 Read the full study here: https://buff.ly/4eOBP2k. #DoveHouse #WomensRecovery #Motherhood #Children
