By investing in our neighborhoods, we aim to cultivate safe, thriving communities where residents feel a strong sense of identity, belonging, and shared civic pride. Our key partners in this work are the neighborhood-based nonprofit organizations that are thoughtfully addressing the specific needs of the people they serve. Over the next several weeks, we will be profiling the important work of three community development organizations that are revitalizing their neighborhood and addressing the unique needs of their residents and stakeholders. First up is Downtown Akron Partnership, who is building and promoting a vibrant and valuable downtown that is open and welcoming to all. Learn more ➡️ www.downtownakron.com

Help Improve Our Region’s Small Business Ecosystem The Federal Reserve’s 2024 Small Business Credit Survey is now open, and Greater Akron Chamber is a partner on this effort. Each year, the Federal Reserve asks for-profit small business owners and key financial decisionmakers to share their successes, challenges, and financial outlook for the future in an effort to broaden the data we have on our small businesses. The survey is open to businesses currently in operation, those recently closed, and those about to launch. Answers to these questions contribute to data that directly inform the Fed, federal government agencies, service providers, policymakers, and others—a public good ultimately benefiting your business and others like yours. All responses are confidential. Don’t wait—take the survey now before it closes on November 1, 2024. https://lnkd.in/gFSTPYUB #downtownAkron #Akron #AkronOhio #surveys #creditsurvey #smallbusinessowners #smallbusinesscredit

It was a beautiful evening for our Wellness Wednesday program with colleagues in Student Life and friends at Downtown Akron Partnership 👏 This downtown program combined staggered incentives for students with wellness activities like yoga/meditation, line dancing and kickboxing + hands on stress-buster and self-care activities and information about campus mental health and wellness resources! The best part? Bringing students downtown to experience the energy and amenities of #Akron! 👏 Special thanks to Brittany Ferguson-Mike Abigail Ernst & Kimberly Beckett for their partnership with ZipAssist and to Ohio Department of Higher Education for support through the Mental Health Support grant 💙 #mentalhealthmatters #suicidepreventionmonth
