This month marks 45 years since Denis and Mary Ann Wickham opened their first Meineke Car Care Centers, Inc. shop in New London, Connecticut. While many things have changed since they opened in 1979, some things have remained the same – like the family’s dedication to serving the New London community. “This is a family-oriented business,” said Chris Wickham, Denis and Mary Ann’s daughter. “People respect my parents and want to work for them because of how long they’ve been here and how they are still engaged with everyone from customers to employees.” Read more about the Wickhams’ journey with Meineke: https://bit.ly/40aMdML

National Car Care Month is about more than what’s happening under the hood. This month is also the perfect time to make sure the outside of your car is taken care of, too. A car wash not only makes your car look nice, but it can also make it more resilient – by protecting the paint and helping to prevent rust. Read more: https://bit.ly/3JzNvYn

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re sharing the story of Danny R. Rivera, Chief Operating Officer of Driven Brands. Danny joined Driven in 2012, but his story started long before that when his grandfather’s small business was seized by the Cuban government during Castro’s reign. Stripped of his livelihood, Danny’s grandfather decided to move his family, including Danny’s mother, to America. The decisions and risks made by Danny’s family are why he takes his career and leadership so seriously. Read more about Danny’s story: https://bit.ly/4gVkUMB

Auto Glass Now and Maaco Corporation teamed up with several partners to donate a vehicle to a veteran as part of the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides program. Way to go!
This morning, Auto Glass Now proudly participated in the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides Veterans Coffee event at the Richard Childress Racing Event Center in Welcome, NC. We had the privilege of hearing inspiring stories from both active and former U.S. service members and learning about the impactful work of several nonprofit organizations across the state of North Carolina. We were honored to take part of the NABC’s effort to gift a newly refurbished vehicle to a deserving U.S. veteran. In collaboration with Allstate, our sister brand MAACO, Richard Childress Racing, Veterans Bridge Home, and Sherwin-Williams, a Chevy Equinox was donated. Auto Glass Now contributed by replacing the vehicle's windshield, while MAACO refurbished it. It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful initiative!
