Over the weekend, Dweck Properties became a part of the movement to #MakeStrides with the American Cancer Society at the Making Strides Walk in the Tidal Basin of Washington, DC. This group’s commitment to #TakeCare and #DoWhatMatters helped champion the efforts to raise funding that will be used directly for the cause – “a celebration of hope and a movement uniting communities to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone.” #BreastCancerAwareness 🎗

Our Dweckster of the Month for August is Madeline Guillermo! Maddie is the Senior Project Administrator of our Construction Management group, and is truly the heart and soul of the team! Her vast knowledge of construction processes has proven to be invaluable, but it’s her leadership and true customer service mentality that sets her apart. She not only keeps the projects on track, but she also keeps the team well informed, she manages our vendors, contractors, and suppliers and knows the status of every project at all times. She is a strong leader and mentor and ensures the team has everything they need to be productive, successful, and happy at work! We are grateful for her many talents, but even more, how she chooses to show up each day, prioritizing the needs of others and ensuring that the team is cohesively working together. Maddie’s professional journey began in Boston in pursuit of an IT career. As fate would have it, she ended up in northern VA working for the Mills Corporation and began her first job in real estate. She has worked with other large companies; Vornado/Charles E. Smith, then a small general contractor before landing at Gates Hudson working in their CM department on the Dweck portfolio. We are delighted that she chose to join us several years ago and could not do what we do without her! Maddie is the proud mom of two sons, a daughter, two cats, and a turtle 🐢. Yes, that’s right, a red-eared slider named Dorothy (and yes, the cats and turtle co-exist peacefully!). Maddie is an avid puzzler and a traveler. Thus far her favorite places to have visited were Hawaii and the Dominican Republic. Another fun fact: she LOVES karaoke 🎤! You can catch her on any given weekend night at the Queen's Gambit in Woodbridge, doing her thing! We are so proud and excited to recognize Maddie with this well-deserved award and love that she has chosen Dweck to be home for her many talents. Congratulations Maddie! #EmployeeRecognition #CompanyCulture #DwecksterofTheMonth
