What a fantastic week at MIT Media Lab’s Labracadabra Festival! ✨ This “future-history” festival brought together the Media Lab community for a vibrant week of workshops, retrospectives, and creativity to celebrate innovation. The Machine Cabaret workshop was led by Media Lab alums Kelly Dobson, Sophia Brueckner, and our own Rébecca Kleinberger. This one-of-a-kind session explored how machines can be “misused” for expressive and connective purposes, inspiring participants through hands-on activities and an exploratory MIT campus tour. A huge round of applause to the incredible lineup of speakers—Alexis Hope, PhD, Cassandra Lee, Che-Wei Wang, Taylor Levy, Jonathan Bobrow, Judith Donath, Rubez Chong, and Ziv Epstein—for making this event a success. Grateful for the opportunity to pitch at the MIT AI Conference in NYC this past Saturday with Joseph Pipia. We're building the future of patient pre-screening for medical clinics and hospitals, where AI agents prepare consultations in advance to support administrative and clinical staff on the day of the visit. I'm proud to see One Way Ventures portfolio company BRELYON in the top position of the TIME list of 200 Best Inventions of 2024. Congratulations to their exceptional immigrant founder Barmak Heshmat and his team, to our venture partner Philippe Kalaf who helped us see the potential of this technology, and to Habib Haddad from the MIT Media Lab affiliated deep tech E14 Fund, who supported them from the beginning and introduced us early enough for us to invest in their 2021 Seed round.

Is the A.I. hype coming to an end? Will we have a burst as bad as the 1999 dot com bubble burst?
