Highlights included: ✅ Dynamic exchanges with "Reid AI" (Reid Hoffman's digital twin!) ✅ Fireside chat with Dropbox CEO Drew Houston ✅ Prof. Ethan Mollick's highlights from his latest book "Co-Intelligence" ✅ ... plus, unfiltered deep dives from numerous start-up founders, investors, global policy leaders from The Brookings Institution and the United Nations along with industry veterans at Amazon, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, Spotify and many many more. MIT’s legacy of impact was palpable. Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumni-founded companies form the 10th largest economy, generating $2 trillion globally and creating 4.6 million jobs—and 1,000+ new companies are formed annually. 🌎 🚀🦄 It’s inspiring to be part of a community that drives #innovation at such scale. Is the A.I. hype coming to an end? Will we have a burst as bad as the 1999 dot com bubble burst? Why are some C-Suite executives at some the biggest companies in the world fearful of embracing A.I. in their companies? Is training foundation models a race to the bottom? Has the speculation around job displacement due to widespread A.I. adoption been overblown or are has it been grossly understated? So many great and difficult questions asked and answered at this past weekend's MIT AI Conference in New York City, whose theme was "A.I. At A Crossroads". It was also great to meet so many MIT alumni from around the world working on tackling some of the most difficult problems out there. Had a blast at the MIT AI Conference last week! The energy was off the roof, and the discussions around AI innovation were truly inspiring. I discussed several trends. One key takeaway: the focus in enterprise AI has shifted from model selection to platform selection. Why? Because many companies have now caught up in terms of model quality. The differentiator? We built VocAlarm - an intelligent wake-up assistant that transforms your morning routine through Speech-to-Speech technology. By syncing with your calendar, it delivers personalized and motivational wake-up calls to help you tackle your day's most important commitments. Grateful for the opportunity to pitch at the MIT AI Conference in NYC this past Saturday with Joseph Pipia. We're building the future of patient pre-screening for medical clinics and hospitals, where AI agents prepare consultations in advance to support administrative and clinical staff on the day of the visit. Choose a custom wake-up call from figures like Yoda or Muhammad Ali to start your day with motivation. I'm thrilled that my team and I were selected as finalists in the MIT AI Hackathon. We had the honor to travel to NYC to present our project, where we secured 3rd place, $5,000 in OpenAI credits, and $100 in cash! Excited to share my experience from the MIT AI Conference Hackathon, sponsored by OpenAI, which took place this past weekend (October 18-20)! 🚀 Together with my amazing teammates, Anshul Agarwal and Kanika Rajput, we built an LLM-based AI Legal Assistant called Legal Assist. Our application helps individuals navigate civil court cases by simulating mock trials. With Legal Assist, users can practice presenting themselves in a courtroom and gain a better understanding of the legal system—without the need for expensive private lawyers. 💡 Key Features of Legal Assist: - Simulated mock trials based on user-provided case details - AI-powered legal strategies, questioning, and judge deliberations - Aimed at making legal education more accessible to those without extensive resources Although we weren’t selected as finalists, the experience was an incredible learning journey. I was thrilled to play a key role in integrating Generative AI and LLMs into our project, while collaborating with my talented teammates.
