Help us congratulate Keith Walton on 10 years of service. Keith started with Applied in the office back in 2014 as the Safety/OQ Manager conducting OQ’s for inspectors and clients, safety inspections and safety coaching. Prior to Applied he worked for other 3rd party service companies in similar roles. However, one thing you may not know about Keith is that he was a coach in East Texas for over 20 years. His last coaching assignment was the head baseball coach at Henderson High School in Henderson, TX which is also his alma mater and where he still resides with high school sweetheart, Buffie Walton. Although he may not be a high school coach anymore, the mentality and approach he utilized during his coaching career has most definitely rolled over into his oil and gas career. Keith is now the Director of Business Development for Applied but still wears many hats other than just developing business. He continues to perform OQ training for our employees and clients, assists the operations department in staffing projects, co-pilot champion, golf instructor, dad joke butcherer, ribeye connoisseur and many others. However, if you were to ask him what his biggest role is he would tell you that he just wants to make a difference in people’s lives. He is always volunteering to help out with community charity events, especially when it involves children, first responders or military beneficiaries. He has been a staple here at Applied and still coaches us all at times when needed. You can always count on him to have joke or comment during a tense moment to lighten everyone’s mood and put things into perspective. Keith has a heart of gold, two stints, will give you the shirt off his back and has been an integral part of everything Applied is today. So please help us in not only saying congratulations to Keith, but also a big thank you as well. We appreciate you more than you know.

This month, Rachel Kelley (Staff Archaeologist) is Perennial Environmental's Core Value Recipient! Rachel was nominated for identifying the early signs of heat exhaustion from the office for one of our crew members out on the field, and by doing that she likely prevented a more serious outcome from occurring. By remaining vigilant and prioritizing the safety of her coworkers, as well as keeping herself aware of the dangers always present in extreme temperatures, she has demonstrated the Core Value of Community. Four out of seven of our incredible Encompass employees— Jeffrey Conaway, PLS, CFedS, Michelle Wyman, Eric McNeill, John Al-Jazrawi, Jason Scyoc, Martin J., and Marc Miller—reached the summit of a Colorado 14er, conquering a peak over 14,000 feet! Adding to this remarkable achievement, Bela, our loyal dog, also made it to the summit. This feat underscores our belief at Encompass: challenging ourselves is essential for personal and professional growth. By setting ambitious goals and collaborating, we achieve great heights in our careers and personal endeavors.
