Happy National Food Day! Today, we focus on healthy and sustainable food choices. It’s crucial to recognize the benefits of locally raised food. In Florida, over 2 million people work in agriculture and food production, contributing more than $100 billion to the state’s economy. Through our East Central Florida dashboard, one can better understand the region's crucial agriculture and food industries. Thanks to our food systems tools, we are now one of only five organizations to be featured in the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) microsite, https://lnkd.in/eKk6-_6f

We are thrilled to start this new phase of our Brownfields program! In the first three years, we completed nearly two dozen site assessments. With the latest round of funding, we will be able to bring the program to new communities and build upon our initial success. We are eager to continue this important work across our region.
The East Central Florida Resilient Corridors Coalition held its kickoff meeting this morning. We would like to thank Alyssa Kuhn, MNR from EPA for helping to set up this orientation. We also got a lot planning done. It will be a good four years for redevelopment! Ken Storey Edwin Rivera Vanessa Suazo Shakenya Harris-Jackson, Ed.D. Michelle M.
