Today, we bid farewell to one of our Chaplains, Mike Caci, who joined us from Anchorage and has been a steadfast presence in our agency. He has been a source of support for many of our members during their toughest moments, both at work and in their personal lives. Mike, we are immensely grateful for the 13 years you have devoted to improving the lives of our members and our community. You are truly unique, and you will be dearly missed. Mike's next chapter involves returning home up north to spend quality time with his grandchildren. Take care!
Things are off to a great start for the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club! Today, our crews stayed busy on the course treating patients and ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. We're looking forward to a great rest of the week. We appreciate the dedication of our crews, and special thanks to Deputy Chief Brooks and Deputy Chief Sutt for their tireless work in the months leading up to this week!

In the late hours of Halloween, our operations chief received a message about a structural collapse in eastern Kentucky, with two people trapped. Without hesitation, our Specialized Rescue Company and off-duty members responded to the scene around 2:00am that morning. Our rescue members have dedicated countless hours to training and mastering the art of technical rescue. As they arrived in Martin County, they were fully prepared for the mission that lay ahead. We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible work they have done this week in eastern Kentucky. To the citizens of our community and this commonwealth, we want you to know that we have the absolute best of the best right here in our midst. Our rescue company and its members are willing to go to any lengths, no matter the mission or the location. We are truly blessed to have such a remarkable team of individuals who perform life-changing work day in and day out. Our hearts go out to the families affected by the tragic events of this week. We extend our deepest condolences and unwavering support during this difficult time.
