🎊 ✨ Celebrating 2 Years at Eatery Essentials! 👏 🎉
One of my roles is social media manager for Eatery Essentials, so I’m usually the one crafting anniversary posts for my colleagues, but today, I’m excited to celebrate my own 2-year milestone! Reflecting on this journey, it’s been an incredible experience filled with growth, challenges, and many rewarding moments.
What has been the most rewarding part of your role?
The variety of projects I’ve been involved in has been incredibly rewarding. Running our social media accounts has given me the chance to engage with our audience and highlight the amazing work happening at Eatery Essentials. I've also had the opportunity to help design two displays for trade shows. From handling different aspects of marketing to regulatory compliance, improving my full-stack programming and graphic design skills, every task has pushed me to grow and develop professionally.
How have you grown since joining the company?
In my time at Eatery Essentials, I’ve completed several certifications, including LinkedIn Improve Your Sustainability Skills, CompTIA Security+, Google Project Management, Google IT Support, Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce, and Google Data Analytics. I’ve been able to apply skills gained through these certifications to various aspects of my day to day tasks. Additionally, I’ve gained immense knowledge about sustainability in our industry.
For the past year and a half, I’ve also been a full-time student, maintaining a 4.0 GPA in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Software Programming and Database Architecture. Balancing work and school has been a challenge, but I’m proud to say it has made me a more capable and knowledgeable professional.
What excites you about the future at Eatery Essentials?
As someone who cares deeply about the environment, I’m excited to see the continued growth of our sustainability initiatives and innovations. I’m also looking forward to applying my knowledge to future projects and supporting the company's efforts in the digital space.
What has been your proudest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment has been redesigning our company website, which will be launching soon. Along with that, I’ve improved our organic SEO, helping to boost our online presence. Over the past two years, I’ve also built our social media accounts, further expanding our reach. Another highlight was stopping a domain squatting scam targeting our company, where I successfully got six fraudulent domains taken down by working with web hosts and ICANN. This experience led me to take several cyber security courses in school as well as through CyberNow Labs Institute which helped me to earn my CompTIA Security+ certification.
