It's Florida Economic Development Week, and we're excited about the innovative growth of businesses based in Sarasota County. Josh Ewen, CEcD, Vice President of Economic Development, recently presented on the importance of business partnerships in the region's innovation ecosystem. Vladimir Ljesevic, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of CMPSE and Co-Founder – Sarasota, joined Josh. Tech and Paul A. Sohl, CEO of Florida High Tech Corridor, presented business growth trends around technology and innovation-based industries at the national, state, and local levels at the The Patterson Foundation's Digital Access for All Symposium. Digital skills and technology competence are driving future workforce trends. Sarasota County is anticipated to gain 2,300 jobs over the next 5 years in Information Technology, Finance, and Insurance. Professional, Scientific, & Technical Services industries continue to grow in the County and the Greater Tampa Bay Region.
