Meet the #SniderHockey & Education Alumni Advisory Committee! The Alumni Advisory Committee is the leadership group of the newly launched Snider Alumni Network. The 2024 Snider Cup concluded yesterday at Gulph Mills Golf Club where we revealed the overall tournament winners. After four rounds, the overall net winner is the Gulati Family Foundation (-48) and the overall gross winner is Team Aiken (-4)! Congratulations to both teams for taking home the Snider Cup! The real winners of the tournament are the thousands of under-resourced youth who benefit from Snider's programs. Thanks to our generous supporters, the fourth annual Snider Cup has been a record-breaking year - raising more than $1.7 million! Since the start of the Snider Cup in 2021, the event has raised $6 million for Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education. Thank you to all of our stakeholders for making a life-changing impact on so many deserving youth. We're looking forward to more in 2025!

The Breakaway Scholarship application is now open to #SniderHockey & Education 8th grade students! Snider Students accepted into the Breakaway Scholarship program during their final year of middle school will receive a one-year scholarship to cover full or partial tuition and school fees at one of Snider’s partner high-performing private and vocational secondary schools. Snider recently received a generous gift of $161 from Declan, who channeled his inner entrepreneur with a lemonade stand! After a successful day of sales, he chose to donate all of his earnings to support Snider! Declan's donation will be tripled via our 2:1 match. Thank you to Declan for making an inspiring impact! Last Wednesday, the Snider Leadership Council held their first official meeting of the 2024-25 season. This select group of #SniderHockey & Education students will learn how to be positive, productive leaders amongst their peers through a variety of workshops and on-site events throughout the season. The Snider Leadership Council gives our high school students the opportunity to enhance leadership skills and use members’ voices and perspectives to improve Snider programs.

Our latest #SniderHockey & Education Staff Spotlight is Connor Casey, an alumni coach who coaches the travel 10A-Am "Parent" team during the 2024-25 season. Connor discusses approaching coaching with a positive mindset and how he passes along lessons he learned as a Snider student himself. Snider full-time staff engaged in the first annual staff kickball game this week! Snider's Employee Engagement Committee organized the friendly competition as a fun way to step away from the office for an afternoon and engage in a team building activity.
