Over the past decade, EDGE has transformed the green building landscape, providing a measurable way for real estate developers, builders, and asset owners to optimize designs for new builds and retrofits, ensuring a minimum 20% reduction in energy, water, and embodied carbon in materials compared to conventional buildings. El día de ayer hicimos la clausura de curso presencial de Diseño para Mayores Eficiencias (DfGE por sus siglas en inglés), ofrecido por el IFC con el apoyo del Gobierno Suizo, en Colombia. Curso a través del cual se brinda a los estudiantes el conocimiento para diseñar edificaciones eficientes en recursos, que contribuyan a la transición del sector de la construcción hacia un futuro con bajas emisiones de carbono. 🎓 Junto con SECO, nuestro trabajo en los últimos años se ha enfocado en realizar alianzas con 21 Universidades en Colombia y Perú. De las cuáles, 11 son colombianas, ubicadas en ciudades como Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Yopal y Sincelejo. Además, en el marco de estos convenios, el IFC ha capacitado a 49 profesores de las diferentes universidades, quienes, a su vez han impartido el curso de Diseño para Mayores Eficiencias a un total de 370 estudiantes incluyendo pre-grado y postgrado. 🌿 Al promover habilidades en edificios verdes, estamos empoderando a la siguiente generación de arquitectos, ingenieros y profesionales de la construcción que van a liderar la construcción de un mundo más sostenible. 🌎 Yesterday, we celebrated the closing ceremony of the Design for Greater Efficiencies (DfGE) course in Colombia, offered by the IFC with the support of the Swiss Government. This course provides students with the knowledge to design resource-efficient buildings that contribute to the construction sector's transition to a low-carbon future. 🎓 Together with SECO, our work in recent years has focused on forging partnerships with 21 universities in Colombia and Peru. Eleven of these universities are Colombian, located in cities such as Bogotá, Medellín, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Yopal, and Sincelejo.
