On August 10th, the EDPA Great Lakes Chapter had an absolute blast volunteering at VETLIFE Vet Fest 2024 in Fowlerville, MI! 🎉 This fantastic, free festival was all about celebrating veterans and their families, connecting them with valuable resources, and having a great time! We had the pleasure of sharing insights about our industry and our exciting Future Workforce efforts. Plus, we were thrilled to be the official sponsor of the Bounce House—so much fun for everyone! A huge shoutout to all our amazing volunteers and a big thank you to the EDPA - Experiential Designers & Producers Association national team and the EDPA Future Workforce Committee for their fantastic support and awesome engagement resources and visuals. The EDPA Great Lakes has partnered with VETLIFE as our chapter's 2024 good works non-profit and we will be volunteering and supporting VetLife’s Vet Fest event on Saturday, August 10th at the Fowlerville Fairgrounds located at 8800 W. Grand River Road, Fowlerville, MI 48836. Vet Fest is the largest free festival for veteran families including all active duty, retired, or military veteran families. Veterans can enjoy a day of camaraderie while learning about a wide variety of veteran specific resources. This event is family orientated and veteran’s family members can enjoy food, bounce houses, live music, backpack and school supply giveaways, celebrity appearances, and more. All veterans present are also eligible for a chance to win valuable prizes. We are currently seeking volunteers to help with setup, tear down, and staffing of our booth space during the event where we will educate veterans, who could be part of our future workforce, on our industry and the career opportunities available.
