At EPI, we don’t just bring teachers to the US—we empower them to share their culture, enrich classrooms, and build lasting cross-cultural connections! Faith Joy, a talented music teacher from the Philippines, reflects on her incredible journey with EPI, where she gained valuable experience while teaching and learning from her students. “EPI has given me an opportunity to grow as a teacher in a US classroom setting. This experience has allowed me to appreciate and understand more about different cultures. My students are learning about my culture, and I am learning from them as well.” Interested in bringing your culture to the classroom? We love seeing our teachers share their culture with their communities! EPI English as a Second Language teacher Margelyn from the Philippines was invited by the county to present about her home country's vibrant and expressive traditions with locals and retired teachers in the area. "I shared about our country and let them try our famed spring rolls, which we call "lumpia," and our rice noodles, which we call "pansit, " Margelyn told EPI. "I also invited a Filipina friend to dance "Pamaypay," a folk dance in our country."
