On this International STEM Day, which celebrates the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, we’re glad to highlight Water Resources Engineer, Lauren McCleary, P.E., who recently had the honor of serving as a panelist at Purdue University on the dynamic field of Hydraulic and Hydrologic Engineering. 💧 During the seminar, Lauren and her fellow panelists explored a variety of essential topics, shedding light on our profession's critical role in shaping infrastructure and environmental stewardship. They discussed how their work integrates into larger projects, daily activities, and specific projects that showcase the impact of hydraulic engineering.  Additionally, Lauren shared valuable insights on recommended classes and the licensure process for aspiring engineers. Egis has secured a design contract with WVDOT for U.S. 52 in West Virginia! 🎉This project entails preparing and developing construction contract plans for a new four-lane divided roadway as part of the Tolsia Highway project.    "This landmark achievement marks a significant milestone in our company's history and promises to yield substantial benefits for the local community and the broader region. We are proud to lead the way in engineering excellence and community development," said Yann JAOUAN, Chief Commercial Officer, Egis in the U.S.   🛣️This approximately 9-mile (14.5 km) stretch will run from WV 75 to just north of Prichard, featuring 4 mainline bridges, 4 at-grade intersections, and a partial interchange with State Route 75. In the central area of the project, we are tasked with refining the alignment to utilize a portion of existing U.S. 52 to minimize the right-of-way and other impacts.   #Transportation #WestVirginia #CommunityDevelopment #Egis
