People are once again embracing the comfort, service, and amenities that come with staying at a hotel. So, what does this mean for us in the hospitality industry? While short-term rentals had their moment, there's a significant shift happening—travelers are rediscovering the joys of hotel stays. A recent article from Hotel Dive reveals that 53% of people are now actively choosing hotels, a sharp increase from the past few years. This shift can be attributed to the various amenities and services that hotels offer, such as room service, concierge assistance, and on-site dining options. Additionally, hotels provide a sense of security and reliability that may be lacking in short-term rentals. The perks of staying in a hotel—no stress, no surprises, just great service, air conditioning, and all those little comforts—is winning people over again. Look out for part 2 to discover what we can take away from this.
