Ever since the transition to streaming, success has to be measured over longer timescales and that comes through shifting the balance of probability in favour of an artist, not just a single moment of impact.
CASE STUDY 📈 : 18.2% increase in Spotify monthly listeners through social media alone. A unique situation with a notable artist gave us the opportunity to assess the impact of our evergreen social media content strategies on Spotify monthly listeners. What happened: ✦︎ 12 months of content marketing following a 2 year marketing pause. ✦︎ 3-4 posts a week on Instagram, FB, YT Community and X. ✦︎ No TikTok. ✦︎ No other marketing or promotional activity from label or management. ✦︎ No releases. ✦︎ No live shows. ✦︎ No public appearances from the artist. The result: ✨ 22.6% growth in monthly listeners on Spotify in 12 months, an increase of 18.2% on predicted growth with no activity.
