The Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) is the voice of America's competitive power suppliers.
About us
The Electric Power Supply Association is the voice of America's competitive power suppliers, working to bring customers the benefits of energy competition. Our member companies own and operate nearly 150,000 megawatts of power generation capacity from a diverse set of resources including natural gas, wind, solar, nuclear, and coal. They’re the owners of power generation plants and storage technologies that convert resources into electricity and store it for use when needed—and they compete to sell that energy to utilities, homes, and businesses at the lowest possible cost.

37.2 GW of capacity with interconnection agreements in PJM remains unbuilt. Enacting meaningful #PermittingReform is a key part of ensuring a successful energy expansion. In part two of our "EPSA Explores" blog series on the most important unresolved issues facing the grid, we unpack how permitting and interconnection reform can help get more resources onto the grid to create a cleaner, more reliable, cost-effective energy future. There are signs of progress and bipartisan support on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail, but barriers remain. More: https://lnkd.in/ePwzgAA9 #energy

🎧 Energy Solutions out now: This episode features United Association General Secretary-Treasurer Derrick Kualapai, a labor leader who brings us vivid insight into the manpower that goes into manufacturing the goods and infrastructure many of us take for granted in our day-to-day lives. He shares the ways in which unions collaborate with power generators, as well as key policy priorities. “What does [reliability] look like for your average American that comes home from work and they want to flip the light switch? They want to know that it’s going to turn on, and it’s going to turn on every time. And then, you know, once it does turn on, and as we sort of take a look at this trend of phasing out fossil fuels, what does that space look like? At the end of the day, the answer is, the challenge is, reliability. We've got to have reliability and so I think we have our work cut out for us.” Listen now: https://lnkd.in/gSwShcHu
