Did you know #ElectricVehicle (EV) operation can be three to five times cheaper than gasoline and diesel-powered cars? Along with cost savings, EVs deliver a quiet, smooth ride and require less maintenance. We’re partnering with the University of Delaware and Exelon to demonstrate how EVs can do even more, utilizing their stored power to strengthen the electric grid during times of high demand. By electrifying our fleet and expanding charger access across the region, we’re making widespread EV adoption easier so everyone can enjoy the benefits of cleaner, more reliable energy. #NDEW2024 #GoElectric

Building new generation is critical to maintaining resource adequacy as generators retire and the demand for electricity grows, leading PJM to examine a large number of projects that have executed final agreements but are not moving to operation at the pace needed. The new study process is working, with planners busy churning out studies and clearing projects from the queue that aren’t viable, Paul McGlynn, Vice President – Planning, told the Markets & Reliability Committee on Sept. 25. PJM expects to study about 26,000 MW of Fast Lane projects this year, a total of 72,000 MW by late 2025. But concerns are growing that construction build-out following the study process has not materialized. Read more at PJM Inside Lines. https://lnkd.in/e6MVPG2q
