If you accept a position, be respectful and let other places know you’re no longer available. That kind of professionalism goes a long way—and leaves doors open for the future. He wanted hands-on business experience—and Elevate+ delivered. His internship at Destination Cleveland gave him real-world exposure in HR, IT, and Finance, setting him up for future success. 🚨 The Truth About Unpaid Internships 🚨 Unpaid internships promise "experience" and "networking," but in reality, they aren't good for businesses or young professionals. ❌ In his recent article, "What’s the Point of Unpaid Internships?," student Will Sharp highlights the flaws in the unpaid internship model: 📉 41% of internships are unpaid (NACE study) 💼 Unpaid interns aren’t considered real employees and often lack the structured training that paid workers receive. 🔍 Research shows unpaid interns get no better job opportunities than students with no internship experience (NACE).
