On July 31 I had the privilege of being one of the Speakers invited to the event organized by @miamiemprendedores "Meet Miami Emprendedores" where all the participants could hear a little of our experience as Ella's Uniforms. It was an enriching afternoon with some luxury guests where we could INSPIRE with wonderful stories, CREATE with the different tools that each of the speakers provided us and WE TRANSCEND with each of the stories of people like us who have managed to move forward in this country that has given us so many opportunities. Thanks to Maria Carolina Reina and the whole team of Miami Entrepreneurs consultants for giving us the opportunity and meeting in those 3 panels that we left our testimonies that day and Thank you for teaching us that we can connect with other people to take our businesses to another level. Starting a business is challenging, particularly when faced with barriers like language differences, unfamiliar cultures, and new markets. This is why we are convinced that investing in training is crucial for a company's growth. Two months ago, the Office of Diversity in Business Practices of the Palm Beach County School District, together with Kaufman Lynn Construction and Palm Beach State College, allowed us to participate in the seventh edition of the Small Business University Program. There, we gained commercial knowledge, including interpersonal and business communication skills, legal terminology, document comprehension, and essential financial management. Additionally, we took supplementary courses on enhancing marketing and procurement skills through AI, honing our project management expertise for goods, services, and construction, and learning business decision-making strategies. We benefited from the expertise of numerous professionals who shared their insights, making it an enriching experience to learn how large-scale project companies operate in the United States. We extend our gratitude to the School District of Palm Beach County Office of Diversity in Business Practices, Kaufman Lynn Construction, and Palm Beach State College for this opportunity. #BBBC2024 was a great event organized by the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development, a day full of information and above all full of inspiration to continue working on our goals. Hundreds of small business owners and entrepreneurs gathered to learn about the new projects and opportunities presented by Broward's Confado for their growth, taking all these dreamers to work hand in hand with them building strong societies. A day of information and training where the MINSET - METHODS - MAKE IT HAPPEN! They were its protagonists in each of the sessions, making it clear that one is followed by the other in each of our growth processes. I found the pleasant surprise of being present in the photos of the event in the corridors of the Broward County Convention Center that was gratifying.
