Teenagers can face just as much if not more stress than adults. Academic, social, financial and interpersonal relationship pressures can all wreak havoc on teens’ mental health. Take signs of stress — like irritation, overwhelm and anxiety — seriously. #NationalStressAwarenessDay

During their stay at Ellipsis, kids are often healing, learning and beginning a new chapter. The environment they stay in sets the tone for how they believe others care about them and how they should care about themselves. That’s why Ellipsis is embarking on an incredible effort, the Hopeful Spaces capital campaign, to renovate existing spaces and expand our facilities to serve our kids in deserving spaces designed for what they need. When youth and their families have mental health struggles, it can be hard for them to communicate, build relationships, solve conflicts and much more. Our Behavioral Health Intervention Services program helps youth develop the skills needed to problem-solve, build and maintain relationships, communicate, grow an emotional vocabulary, regulate their emotions, and more. https://bit.ly/43na6yA

Just because an adolescent turns 18 doesn’t mean they don’t need guidance from a support network. We helped nearly 30 teens in transitional aftercare in the last year, even after they left our facilities. Learn more about our impact here: https://bit.ly/3sRgbHd.

We help teens in our care learn to live independently through the Supervised Apartment Living program, which allows them to have all the support of our staff and their own space so they can learn to be responsible for their own property. The belongings they have in this space will be the ones they take to their first home outside of our facilities.
