🌟EmberHope Staff Spotlight: Bill Williams 🌟 At EmberHope, our mission is driven by the passionate and dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children and families. We're excited to introduce our Staff Spotlight series, where we’ll be shining a light on the incredible people behind the scenes who are making our mission possible. This week, we are proud to feature Bill Williams, our Director of Recruitment. Bill plays a vital role in finding and supporting foster families across Kansas, ensuring that every child has a safe and loving home. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to our mission have made an immeasurable impact on the lives of so many children and families. Continue reading to learn more about Bill's journey and the incredible work he does! 💜#1.) How long have you been working at EmberHope? I have been at EmberHope for 3 ½ years. I have been working for child welfare for 34 years. Initially, I thought it would be an opportunity to serve early in my career before I settled into my career. After I graduated from college, I started as a Family Teacher living with 8 teenagers in a home. I fell in love with working with kids and my passion has grown from there. What started as a detour turned into something so much greater than I could have ever imagined. 💛#2.) What do you love most about your job and the work that you do at our organization? Working in foster parent recruitment, I never get tired of sharing the mission and need with people. There are 5,000 foster children in the state of Kansas, and they need our help. I have heard it said that it is impossible to make a difference in the life of a person in need from a distance. Sharing your home and life with a child certainly takes away the distance between you and a child in need. 💜#3.) If someone was considering joining our team, what advice would you give them? EmberHope is an amazing place to work because each staff person makes it so. There is a quote that I often repeat, “Act as if what you do makes a difference…because if does.” That is true if you serve at EmberHope. Every day you have an opportunity to impact the lives of children and families. How great is that! 💛#4.) What makes EmberHope a great place to work? The people and the opportunity. We have a team of people committed to the mission and we have an opportunity to invest in children and families today and for the future. ------------ 🌟 Inspired by Bill's dedication and the impact he's making? You too can make a difference! We're always looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help transform the lives of at-risk children and families. Visit our careers page to explore opportunities and be a part of something truly meaningful. Together, we can create brighter futures! 🌟 👉 Apply today: https://lnkd.in/g8PpMv6H #JoinOurMission #FosterHope #EmberHopeCareers #MakeAnImpact #TogetherWeThrive
